The cinematic calendar for next year just got a bit more interesting for entertainment fans who like their stories messy and unpredictable. IGN South Africa recently debuted the official teaser trailer for The Drama, an upcoming feature film starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson. Directed by Kristoffer Borgli, the movie follows a happily engaged couple whose upcoming wedding week completely unravels following an unexpected series of events.
While traditional cinema releases might live outside our usual daily rotation, high profile crossover projects like this regularly dominate creator streams, reaction channels, and community Discord servers the moment they drop. Borgli has built a reputation for sharp, anxiety inducing storytelling, and putting two of the biggest modern cultural icons at the center of a wedding disaster promises plenty of viral moments across TikTok and YouTube once the marketing cycle kicks into full gear.
The film is currently scheduled to open in theaters on April 3, 2026. As we get closer to that release window, expect to see the cast making the usual rounds across digital media platforms and late night segments, fueling plenty of online theories and meme formats.
