Microsoft has announced the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition Console and Special Edition Controller to celebrate 25 years of the brand.
Microsoft is officially marking a major milestone for its flagship brand. During the latest showcase, the company pulled back the curtain on the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition Console and a matching Xbox Controller X25 Special Edition. These new hardware drops are designed to commemorate twenty five years of gaming history since the original console launch, offering collectors and longtime fans a chance to deck out their setups with some dedicated anniversary gear.
For a community that has watched the ecosystem evolve from the original bulky black box into a sprawling cross-platform network spanning console, PC, and cloud, hardware releases like this serve as a nostalgic nod to the past. While players today spend just as much time following their favorite creators on Twitch as they do grinding out battle passes, physical collector pieces still hold plenty of appeal for dedicated setup builders.
As the brand looks ahead to its next chapter, these anniversary items will likely draw plenty of attention from collectors and hardware enthusiasts alike. You can check out the official reveal trailer and get a closer look at the design details directly via IGN South Africa.
