Xbox Game Pass July Drop: More Games Than You Can Shake a Controller At (and a Soulslike That Might Actually Break You)

Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass is getting a hefty injection of new games this July, including the day-one release of the Soulslike *Wuchang: Fallen Feathers* and a Game Preview for *Grounded 2* – meaning your gaming backlog is about to get a whole lot bigger.

Alright, gamers, gather 'round! Microsoft's just dropped a massive info-bomb on the next wave of titles hitting Xbox Game Pass this July, and, fair dinkum, there's a bit of everything in there. (Huge hat tip to Eurogamer for breaking the news first, by the way!)

Now, some might call this just another list of games, but I reckon it's a portal to countless digital adventures. And who doesn't love a good adventure, eh?

First up, we've got *High On Life* already available. If you haven't checked it out, prepare for some seriously weird, talking-gun-toting mayhem. Then, coming July 17th, *RoboCop: Rogue City* brings the chrome-plated justice, and *My Friendly Neighborhood* promises some… well, friendly, albeit likely slightly unsettling, times. July 18th brings *Back to the Dawn* into the mix. Things get properly interesting from July 22nd onwards.

But let's get to the real meat pies, shall we?

*Wuchang: Fallen Feathers* is landing on July 24th, and it's shaping up to be a proper Soulslike with a wuxia twist. So, expect brutal combat, gorgeous visuals, and a story that'll leave you scratching your head (and probably rage-quitting at 3 AM). It's a day-one release, which is always a bonus. Following in the footsteps of *Black Myth: Wukong*, it could be the next big action-RPG coming out of China. But only time will tell if it manages to reach the heights of *Black Myth: Wukong*.

Then, on July 29th, Obsidian's *Grounded 2* enters Game Preview. Now, *Grounded* was already a cracking survival game, shrinking you down to the size of an ant and unleashing you into a terrifying backyard. *Grounded 2* looks to be expanding on that formula, adding even more creepy crawlies and crafting possibilities. Word on the street (via Eurogamer again) is that *Grounded 2* sadly won't have LAN multiplayer. I know, bloody hell.

And as if that weren't enough, *Farming Simulator 25* is ploughing its way onto Game Pass on August 1st. So if you've always wanted to live out your pastoral fantasy without actually getting your hands dirty, now's your chance.

Here's the full rundown, for those of you who like lists (I won't judge... much):

* *High On Life* (Cloud, Console, and PC) - Available Now * *RoboCop: Rogue City* (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) - July 17th * *My Friendly Neighborhood* (Cloud, Console, and PC) - July 17th * *Back to the Dawn* (Cloud, Console, and PC) - July 18th * *Abiotic Factor* (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) - July 22nd * *Wheel World* (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) - July 23rd * *Wuchang: Fallen Feathers* (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) - July 24th * *Grounded 2 (Game Preview)* (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) - July 29th * *Farming Simulator 25* (Cloud, Console, and PC) - August 1st

Of course, as new games arrive, others must depart. Say goodbye to *Gigantic*, *Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess*, and *Turnip Boy Robs a Bank* on July 31st. It's a circle of gaming life, really.

So, there you have it, folks. Another month, another boatload of games hitting Xbox Game Pass. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a backyard full of oversized insects to avoid.
