Xbox's latest Free Play Days event offers unrestricted access to five massive Ubisoft open-world games through October 4, complete with deep digital discounts for permanent ownership.
Xbox is rolling out another strong weekend of Free Play Days, giving players full access to five major open-world titles without requiring an active Game Pass subscription. Running through October 4, the current lineup leans entirely into Ubisoft's massive open-world catalog, featuring everything from tropical first-person shooters to historical RPGs and high-speed racing.
The featured games include Far Cry 6, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Skull and Bones, and The Crew Motorfest. Since these are all massive games requiring dozens of hours to finish, nobody is going to complete them before the clock runs out on October 4. However, the promotion offers a great chance to test drive these experiences, and Microsoft is backing the event with steep temporary discounts for players who want to add them to their digital libraries permanently.
Promotions like this remain one of the best ways for modern players to sample sprawling releases without committing upfront cash. Finding time to binge a forty-hour RPG over a single weekend is tough, but having free access lets players test performance, check out the mechanics, and coordinate with friends before pulling the trigger on a purchase. Head over to the Microsoft Store on Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S to queue up the downloads.
