Xbox has unlocked six games to play for free through September 13, including Borderlands 4 and Madden NFL 27, available directly through the console store's subscriptions tab.
Xbox is once again opening up its library for the weekend, giving players a chance to check out six different titles at no extra cost through September 13. Promotions like Free Play Days often fly under the radar for players who spend all their time browsing Game Pass libraries, but this latest lineup offers a solid mix of big releases and sports titles that are well worth downloading before Monday rolls around.
The headline act for this weekend is Gearbox's open-world looter shooter, Borderlands 4, which is currently free to access for anyone holding an eligible Xbox Game Pass membership alongside titles like F1 25 2026 Season Edition, Surviving Mars: Relaunched, and CarX Drift Racing Online. For players diving into the chaos of planet Kairos, the timing is perfect given the recent arrival of the Loveless the Hacker DLC.
If you do not subscribe to Game Pass, you are still covered for a couple of major highlights. Both EA Sports Madden NFL 27 and Red Thread Games' narrative adventure Dustborn are wide open for all Xbox members to try out right now. You can find the entire batch by heading to the subscriptions tab on your console store, making it an easy weekend lineup if you are looking to test drive something new.
