Xbox Finally Might Be Getting Its Own Version of Platinum Trophies

A new filter spotted by Xbox Insiders suggests Microsoft is finally developing a Platinum Trophy equivalent called Mythic Achievements for complete 100 percent game completions.
For years, completionists on Xbox have looked across the console aisle with a bit of envy. While PlayStation rewards players who unlock every trophy in a game with a shiny Platinum Trophy to display on their profile, Xbox players who hit 100 percent completion walk away with nothing more than a higher Gamerscore. That long-standing discrepancy might finally be coming to an end, according to a recent discovery from the Xbox Insider community.
As reported by Polygon, an eagle-eyed tester in the Alpha Skip-Ahead tier spotted a brand new filter option tucked away in the achievement menu. The interface revealed a setting for Completed and Incomplete Mythic Achievements, which isolates games where players have unlocked every single achievement available. While Microsoft has not yet issued an official announcement or confirmed a rollout date, the presence of the filter strongly hints that a dedicated reward tier for total completion is finally in development.
For a platform that pioneered modern achievement tracking back in the Xbox 360 era, adding a tangible badge of honor for 100 percent completion is a welcome evolution. Modern players treat profile customization and completion milestones as badges of dedication within their social circles. If Mythic Achievements roll out to the public, it will give cross-platform hunters a great reason to revisit their backlogs and flex their hardest completions on their feeds.
