Xbox is rolling out Mythic Achievements for Insiders, finally giving players a special profile badge for fully completing a game and applying the system retroactively back to the Xbox 360 era.
Xbox is officially modernizing its profile ecosystem by introducing Mythic Achievements, answering a long standing request from the community. Originally pioneered on the Xbox 360, the platform's achievement system is finally getting its own version of the ultimate completionist badge, a concept PlayStation popularized years ago with Platinum Trophies. As detailed by GameRant, Xbox Insiders can test the feature right now, earning a special profile indicator after unlocking every standard achievement in a game.
The rollout comes with some smart quality of life additions for dedicated hunters. Crucially, post launch DLC and expansions will not block you from earning a game's Mythic status if you completed the base game, and the system applies retroactively to titles dating all the way back to the Xbox 360 era. Profiles are also getting a dedicated Gaming tab to showcase these milestones alongside new progress bars and filters that separate base game achievements from add-ons.
This update arrives just in time for a massive lineup of upcoming releases, giving completionists plenty of new ground to cover across console and PC ecosystems. While the feature is currently limited to the Insider preview ring with no wide release date announced yet, it signals a welcome shift toward celebrating deep player engagement and long term profile prestige.
