Xbox and PC Game Pass has revealed its late August lineup, highlighted by the day-one launch of Resonance: A Plague Tale and new additions like Blood Dungeon.
Microsoft has detailed the next wave of titles heading to Xbox and PC Game Pass for the remainder of August. The clear highlight is the day-one arrival of Asobo Studio's latest entry in their acclaimed narrative franchise, Resonance: A Plague Tale. The new prequel trades some of the earlier stealth elements for a heavier focus on direct combat and puzzle solving, creating a cinematic adventure that draws clear inspiration from classic action puzzle games.
Alongside that major release, subscribers can look forward to Blood Dungeon, a fresh Metroidvania experience from Messhof, the developer behind the cult classic multiplayer hit Nidhogg. The lineup also incorporates a steady stream of mid-month additions across cloud, console, and PC, alongside a few titles expanding into new subscription tiers for handheld hardware optimization.
As is always the case with subscription models, a rotation out is happening as well. Players have until the end of the month to finish up experiences like Another Crab's Treasure and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered before they depart the service, giving completionists a tight window to wrap up their playthroughs. Eurogamer first detailed the full rollout schedule.
