WWE 2K25 has launched its Farewell Tour Edition, celebrating John Cena with new playable Superstars like the Dr. of Thuganomics and WrestleMania 41 variants, alongside Brock Lesnar and cosmetic items, as reported by IGN South Africa.
As John Cena prepares to hang up his jorts for good, Visual Concepts and 2K are giving the 17-time world champion a fitting digital sendoff. The newly released WWE 2K25 Farewell Tour Edition, detailed recently by IGN South Africa, serves as an interactive victory lap for one of the most recognizable figures in modern sports entertainment. For a player base that grew up watching Cena dominate the attitude and PG eras, this new content drop leans heavily into both nostalgia and roster depth.
The centerpiece of the new bundle is a deep dive into Cena's storied career. Players picking up the Farewell Tour edition get access to four distinct playable Superstars, spanning different eras of his dominance. You can step into the ring as WrestleMania 41 John Cena, bring back the throwback rhymes with the Dr. of Thuganomics variant, and add powerhouse talent like Brock Lesnar and Ron Cena to your roster. To round out the package, 2K tossed in five cosmetic t-shirts, giving digital wardrobes a quick refresh for online lobbies and community universes.
Releases like this highlight how modern sports titles keep engagement high long after launch by tying into real-world pop culture milestones. While digital add-ons and character packs are a standard part of the gaming ecosystem now, celebrating a literal retirement tour through downloadable content hits a different chord for fans who view these games as extensions of their weekly viewing habits. If you want to relive the hustle, loyalty, and respect era or just hit an Attitude Adjustment on your friends in cross-platform matches, the Farewell Tour edition is available right now.
