Wuchang: Fallen Feathers' Launch A Bit Wonky? Devs Shower Players With Loot!

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers launched with more bugs than a rainforest, but the devs are trying to smooth things over with a mountain of free in-game goodies, hopefully fixing the actual problems soon!

Right, so *Wuchang: Fallen Feathers* had a bit of a rough landing, eh? According to Game Rant, Leenzee's action RPG, set in the tumultuous late Ming Dynasty, saw over 100,000 players jump in at launch. Sounds brilliant, doesn't it? But then the gremlins crept in – bugs, glitches, performance issues. The kind of stuff that makes you want to throw your monitor out the window.

No worries, the devs are trying to make things right. They've issued an apology and are now pelting players with compensation. Think of it as a 'sorry we messed up' goodie bag. Standard edition owners were originally promised a free copy of the soundtrack (which, let's be honest, is nice but doesn't fix frame rates). But the internet backlash, bless its heart, spurred them on! Now they're also getting three pieces of headgear. I mean, who doesn't love a silly hat?

Deluxe edition folks aren't missing out, naturally. On top of the originally promised free costume, they're now getting three *more* premium costumes *and* four new weapons. Fair dinkum, that's a lot of digital stuff. I reckon that's enough to forgive a few dodgy textures, right?

Now, while free stuff is always appreciated, players are rightfully keen to see the actual problems fixed. Leenzee is apparently working on hotfixes and patches to squash those pesky bugs. They're also teaming up with the community because, let's face it, modders often do a better job than the actual developers (don't tell anyone I said that).

The Steam rating, unsurprisingly, has taken a bit of a battering, currently sitting at 'Mostly Negative'. Ouch. But the player count remains relatively solid, with over 80,000 souls braving the bugs. Shows you the game has some potential, eh?

No word yet on when these fixes and freebies will arrive, but Leenzee promises they're working as fast as they can. It'll be interesting to see if they can pull this one back from the brink and turn those negative reviews around. Because, frankly, I'm always rooting for a good comeback story.
