An exclusive trailer for the sci-fi thriller Worldbreaker, directed by Brad Anderson and starring Milla Jovovich and Luke Evans, has been released via IGN South Africa.
Director Brad Anderson is returning to the sci-fi thriller space with Worldbreaker, and a newly released exclusive trailer gives us our best look yet at the upcoming feature. Known for atmospheric and intense projects like The Machinist and Session 9, Anderson is now turning his lens toward a grim world under siege by terrifying creatures known as Breakers. The newly shared footage, originally debuted by IGN South Africa, sets up a tense dynamic that blends high stakes survival action with deep family drama.
The narrative centers on Willa, played by Billie Boullet, who lives on a remote island with her battle-scarred father, portrayed by Luke Evans. While her father focuses on rigorous survival training, her mother, played by Milla Jovovich, battles the monstrous Breakers on the front lines of the war. That fragile isolation shatters when a mysterious girl washes ashore, dragging the outside conflict directly to their doorstep and forcing Willa to decide whether she should run or fight.
For anyone who follows genre crossovers into gaming and streaming, the creature design and dystopian atmosphere carry strong echoes of modern survival horror and post-apocalyptic titles. As the lines between cinematic storytelling and interactive media continue to blur, projects with this level of visceral worldbuilding always catch the eye of the community. You can check out the exclusive footage directly at IGN South Africa to see how Anderson brings this brutal new universe to life.
