World of Warcraft's September Trading Post update brings back the coveted Ethereal Transmogrifier toy for a discounted, entirely earnable price of 300 Trader's Tenders. The handy item allows players to change their appearance anywhere, offering major quality-of-life utility alongside the patch 12.1 Curse of Ula'tek content drop.
World of Warcraft is rolling out its September update, and Game Rant reports that the latest rotation brings back one of the community's most essential convenience items at no additional cost. The Ethereal Transmogrifier toy is returning to the Trading Post for 300 Trader's Tenders, down from its previous price of 500. For players who maximize their monthly Traveler's Log rewards, the item is entirely free to claim using earned currency rather than cash shop purchases. This utility item lets players summon a transmogrification vendor anywhere, making it especially valuable in non-mount zones where similar mobile vendor options fall short.
The September refresh arrives alongside the broader Curse of Ula'tek update, which introduces fresh endgame zones, raid sets, and a surprise community pet inspired by a viral local raccoon celebrity. While patch 12.1 has brought typical balance tweaks and a bizarre disconnect bug that some fans suspect is a stealth feature test, the Trading Post rotation remains a major focal point. Having a portable transmog toy also pairs well with heavy-hitting utility mounts, streamlining inventory and mount choices for players who love optimizing their look on the go.
Looking further ahead, Blizzard has plenty on the horizon to keep the community engaged, including a major Dungeons and Dragons collaboration slated for November alongside looming BlizzCon announcements. Between expanding social features, housing hints on the upcoming Hearthkeeper's Wandering Caravan mount, and continuous live service updates, World of Warcraft continues to adapt its economy and rewards around modern player habits. Grabbing the Ethereal Transmogrifier right now is a straightforward win for anyone looking to keep their wardrobe fresh without draining their reserves.
