Witcher 3 fans are speculating that an upcoming Blood and Wine anniversary stream on May 28 might feature news about a rumored new DLC, though CD Projekt Red has not made any official announcements.
The community surrounding The Witcher 3 is buzzing with speculation as a newly announced anniversary stream approaches. CD Projekt Red has scheduled a special broadcast celebrating the Blood and Wine expansion for May 28, featuring environmental artist Kacper Niepokolczycki and senior writer Magdalena Zych. While the studio has kept completely silent on the matter, players across social platforms are wondering if the developer might use the stream to drop hints about a rumored upcoming DLC.
Rumors regarding a potential new expansion have been circulating for months, largely driven by industry leaks and reports from Polish insiders. Speculation suggests that this theoretical DLC could serve as a narrative bridge between The Witcher 3 and the highly anticipated Witcher 4, potentially focusing on Ciri. Although CD Projekt Red has offered no official confirmation and is currently deep in production on its next major titles, the community remains eager for any excuse to return to the Continent.
Anniversary streams from major studios occasionally feature surprise announcements, which explains the heightened expectations on platforms like X and Reddit. Even so, players are balancing their excitement with a healthy dose of skepticism regarding potential bait. Whether the broadcast turns out to be a straightforward retrospective or the stage for a surprise drop, the enduring passion of the player base proves that Geralt's world remains as magnetic as ever.
