Warhorse Studios has confirmed that a new open-world RPG in the Kingdom Come: Deliverance franchise is targeting a release during the fiscal year 2027, building on the massive momentum of the studio's recent successes.
Fans of historical role-playing games have plenty to look forward to, as Warhorse Studios has officially confirmed that another installment in the Kingdom Come: Deliverance franchise is in active development. During a recent developer livestream, communications director Tobias Stolz-Zwilling and community manager Tom Grey laid out the studio's timeline. They revealed that the next entry in the series will continue the open-world RPG formula, with a targeted release window falling within the fiscal year 2027, meaning players could see it launch anywhere between April 2027 and March 2028.
This announcement follows a massive period of momentum for the studio. Following the critical acclaim of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which dominated conversation as a major Game of the Year contender upon its early 2025 release, Warhorse has cemented its reputation for crafting deeply detailed, historically grounded digital worlds. Alongside whispers of other major intellectual properties currently occupying the studio, the confirmation of a returning franchise favorite proves that Warhorse is doubling down on the sprawling single-player experiences that built its community.
For players who treat massive RPGs as their primary entertainment sanctuaries, this rapid turnaround is an encouraging sign. In an industry where development cycles regularly stretch past half a decade, hearing that a studio is ready to follow up its recent successes so quickly is refreshing. As we wait for official trailers and gameplay deep dives, the prospect of returning to a meticulously researched medieval setting is a massive win for open-world enthusiasts across PC and console platforms.
