Saber Interactive's Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is coming to Xbox Game Pass at the end of January 2026, marking the game's subscription service debut.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers are getting a major addition to close out January 2026. Saber Interactive's hit third-person action game, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, is finally joining a major subscription library. This marks the first time the game will be available through a service like Game Pass, arriving roughly a year and a half after its initial launch in September 2024.
For players who skipped the initial purchase window, this is a massive win. Saber Interactive delivered a massive commercial and critical success with Space Marine 2, combining brutal horde-clearing combat with cooperative multiplayer modes that kept Twitch and YouTube creators busy for months. Dropping the game into Game Pass breathes new life into the community matchmaking pools, which is always the best part of a subscription debut for online-heavy titles.
Adding a game of this scale to a subscription service continues a shifting trend in how players access blockbuster titles without paying full price upfront. As digital libraries expand across console, PC, and cloud, seeing heavy hitters land on Game Pass a bit after launch has become a standard rhythm for modern players. According to IGN South Africa, you can clear your calendar now for the end of the month.
