The indie phenomenon that practically launched a whole genre is getting a bit of a rebrand. Developer Poncle has announced that the original game is officially being renamed to Vampire Survivors - First Survivaton. This change is not just a random pivot. It serves as an umbrella label for a new lineup of internally developed projects and partner collaborations that build on the core formula, featuring major gameplay twists and substantial content expansions.
Alongside the rebranding news, Poncle has shadow-dropped update 1.15 on Steam, bringing a fresh wave of fixes and adjustments while other platforms prepare to receive the patch by the end of the month. The studio also confirmed that a Nintendo Switch 2 version is officially on the way, promising better overall performance and mouse support for hybrid players. PC and console lobbies alike are about to get very busy again.
Looking ahead to the summer, fans can expect the brand-new Legacy of the Bloodmoon expansion, which brings 10 new characters, over 16 new weapons and evolutions, an XL stage, and eight fresh music tracks. Poncle is also expanding older content by adding extra goodies to Legacy of the Moonspell and permanently lowering its price. Whether you are playing on mobile, console, or PC, the horde-clearing grind just got a major upgrade.
