Vampire Crawlers Is Getting a Playable Demo Next Month

Poncle's Vampire Survivors spin-off, Vampire Crawlers, is getting a playable demo on Steam and Xbox Game Pass on February 23rd.

Developer Poncle is expanding the chaotic world of Vampire Survivors into new territory with its upcoming spin-off, Vampire Crawlers. The highly anticipated deck-building dungeon crawler already has over two hundred thousand wishlists on Steam. Players eager to test out its rogue-lite mechanics will not have to wait much longer. A playable demo is officially launching on February 23rd for PC via Steam Next Fest and for Xbox players through Xbox Game Pass.

Poncle is leaning into what made the original indie sensation a runaway hit while pivoting to a completely different genre. Described as a turbo turn-based card-driven blobber, the spin-off aims to capture the same accessibility, immediacy, and satisfying progression as its predecessor. Instead of dodging thousands of on-screen enemies in real-time, players will build overpowered decks, hunt for customisation gems, and trigger massive cascading effects. The studio has also designed the pacing to be flexible, allowing for slow, tactical thinking or rapid-fire movement without waiting for animations to finish.

While the full game does not have a hard release date yet, it is scheduled to land sometime this year across console, PC, and mobile platforms, including iOS and Android. To tide the community over until the demo drops, Poncle has launched a new video series detailing gameplay features. As digital card games and rogue-lites continue to thrive across cross-platform ecosystems, this spin-off looks positioned to grab a major slice of the community's attention.
