Um, Actually host Ify Nwadiwe shares his dream guest wishlist with Polygon, including Henry Cavill for a Warhammer deep dive and actors John Boyega and Ayo Edebiri.
Dropout trivia quiz show Um, Actually has built a reputation for bringing prominent pop culture enthusiasts onto its mustard yellow couch, and host Ify Nwadiwe has big plans for future guest lists. In a recent interview with Polygon, Nwadiwe shared his dream casting choices for upcoming seasons, including a dedicated Warhammer episode featuring actor Henry Cavill. Nwadiwe noted that while fans have seen Cavill build gaming PCs and heard about his passion for the hobby, he wants to provide a platform where the actor can truly gush about his favorite tabletop franchise.
Nwadiwe also has his sights set on other high-profile entertainment stars who are open about their gaming and fandom roots. He hopes to assemble a specific couch featuring John Boyega and Ayo Edebiri, describing them as his favorite nerdy Nigerians. Other potential guests mentioned include comedy trio Emily Gordon, Kumail Nanjiani, and Jonah Ray. Scheduling conflicts remain the primary hurdle for bringing these heavy hitters into the studio, as busy Hollywood timelines frequently clash with production blocks.
Even as Nwadiwe aims for massive guest stars, the current season of Um, Actually is delivering plenty of excitement for dedicated viewers through the return of its Tournament of Champions. Fan favorites like Erika Ishii and Brennan Lee Mulligan are stepping back into the competitive spotlight to settle long-standing debates about who truly rules the trivia stage. Nwadiwe, who held the record for most wins as a contestant before taking over hosting duties, is happy to watch the competition from the host chair rather than trying to reclaim his crown.
