Trine 6: Together in Time Brings Co-Op Platforming Back This September

Frozenbyte's cooperative platformer Trine 6: Together in Time arrives on September 17 for all major platforms, featuring five playable characters, crossplay, and a co-op-first puzzle design.

Developer Frozenbyte is bringing its vibrant puzzle platforming series back for another round. Trine 6: Together in Time launches on September 17 for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch systems, and PC, bringing back the franchise's signature colorful aesthetic and cooperative gameplay. This time around, the story kicks off when a botched heist involving two enterprising siblings named Moira and Adrius accidentally binds their fates to the realm's classic heroes. Amadeus, Zoya, and Pontius return to join the new dynamic duo, giving groups of one to four players a roster of five distinct characters to choose from as they race to stop a dangerous warlock.

Gameplay brings fresh mechanics to the table alongside returning favorites, most notably a new Time-Slow ability designed to give players extra breathing room during intense platforming sequences and combat encounters. Frozenbyte is also introducing enemies with support abilities that can shield or buff their allies, alongside complex boss fights that blend traversal, combat, and environmental puzzles. The character roster features distinct toolkits, from Zoya's trusty bow and rope to Moira's acrobatic ribbon swings and Adrius's platform-creating spear.

Crucially for the community, Frozenbyte has built the puzzle design around a co-op-first philosophy where solutions do not require a specific hero, meaning groups can experiment freely with any character combination. Solo players are not left behind either, as puzzles receive specific adjustments for lone adventures. With both local and online co-op supported alongside crossplay across platforms, setting up a game night with friends regardless of their hardware setup will be seamless when the game drops this fall.
