According to a recent report by IGN South Africa, the official trailer for the upcoming biographical film Tenzing has arrived. Starring Genden Phuntsok alongside heavyweights like Tom Hiddleston and Willem Dafoe, the movie chronicles the true story of Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary as they become the first people to summit Mount Everest.
Directed by Jennifer Peedom, the narrative dives into the complex cultural tensions and personal ambitions behind the historic climb. While Western expedition members viewed the peak as a physical challenge to conquer, Tenzing approached Chomolungma with deep spiritual reverence, creating a compelling dynamic between the climbers that goes far beyond a simple survival story.
For players and digital entertainment fans looking for a compelling cinematic experience outside of gaming sessions, Tenzing is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 9, 2026. A global streaming debut on Apple TV will follow shortly after on October 16, 2026, making it easily accessible for audiences worldwide.
