Titan Comics and Behaviour Interactive have shared an exclusive preview gallery for Dead by Daylight: The Hillbilly #1, showcasing interior art and variant covers detailing the killer's tragic origins.
Titan Comics and Behaviour Interactive are expanding the lore of their asymmetrical horror hit with a brand new comic book tie-in. Recently featured in a preview gallery by IGN South Africa, Dead by Daylight: The Hillbilly #1 offers fans a deeper look into the tragic backstory of one of the Fog's most iconic killers. The upcoming issue explores the brutal origins of Max Thompson Jr. long before he ever picked up a chainsaw and joined the endless trial loops that players know so well today.
The newly revealed preview art showcases a striking lineup of interior illustrations and variant covers from a talented roster of artists including Alex Horley, Francesca Ciregia, Ilan Sheady, Niclas Mortensen, and Dean Kotz. Each contributor brings a distinct visual style to the grim atmosphere of the Crotus Prenn Asylum. For a community that spends countless hours dissecting lore entries, watching creator lore deep dives on YouTube, and styling their main characters with rare cosmetics, transmedia expansions like this comic offer a welcome way to stay engaged with the universe outside of actual matches.
Dead by Daylight has evolved far beyond a simple multiplayer indie game into a massive horror crossover platform that regularly collaborates with major franchises. Extending the property into comic books makes total sense for an active player base that clearly devours narrative depth and character backstory. You can check out the full set of preview pages and variant covers over at IGN South Africa to see how the creative team is bringing the haunting world of the Entity to the printed page.
