Thrustmaster Reveals High-End T-GT 3 Steering Wheel for Gran Turismo 7

Thrustmaster announced the high-end T-GT 3 steering wheel for Gran Turismo 7, featuring Direct Axial Drive technology and haptic feedback. The $749.99 bundle opens for pre-orders on December 3.

Thrustmaster has officially pulled the cover off its new T-GT 3 steering wheel, marking a major milestone in the hardware's ongoing 16-year partnership with the team behind Gran Turismo 7. Hitting the market this December with a $749.99 price tag, this high-end peripheral is bringing some serious tech upgrades to sim racing setups. Game Rant originally reported on the hardware drop, noting that pre-orders will open on December 3 ahead of a targeted holiday shipping window.

The headlining feature of the T-GT 3 is its new Direct Axial Drive technology, delivering up to 10 Newton-meters of peak torque for tighter and more responsive feedback on the track. The setup also packs built-in load-cell pedals to give players much finer pressure-based control over acceleration and braking. Alongside better physical feedback, Thrustmaster is introducing advanced haptic effects like Gear Jolt and Engine Roar, which simulate gear shifts and chassis vibrations based on engine RPM.

This hardware release aligns with a broader push for the racing franchise, as Thrustmaster also returns as an official sponsor for the Gran Turismo World Series. With Polyphony Digital rolling out major updates for the game, including the upcoming two-part Spec IV patch, competitive drivers and hardcore racing fans have plenty of new gear and content to look forward to heading into next year's events.
