The Witcher Franchise Expands With New Board Game Launching in 2027

A new tabletop adaptation titled The Witcher: Legacy has been confirmed for a Summer 2027 release following a massively successful crowdfunding campaign on Gamefound.

CD Projekt RED fans have a massive few years ahead, stretching far beyond the digital screen. As reported by Game Rant, developer Go On Board has successfully funded its latest tabletop project, The Witcher: Legacy, pulling in over twelve million euros from more than 32,000 backers on Gamefound. The upcoming release is officially slated for Summer 2027 and aims to bridge the gap while players wait for the next mainline installment in the video game series.

Designed for one to four players, the tabletop adaptation boasts an extensive campaign structure with over forty-eight hours of main-story content and a dynamic endgame sandbox mode. Pre-orders range from a base version at 109 euros up to a comprehensive all-inclusive bundle priced at 480 euros. This marks the third tabletop collaboration between the studio and Go On Board following previous entries like Old World and Path of Destiny.

This tabletop expansion arrives alongside a busy slate for the digital franchise, which includes the upcoming Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Remastered, the Songs of the Past DLC, and the highly anticipated Witcher 4 featuring Ciri as the new protagonist. For a community that treats the Continent as a primary social and entertainment hub, these multi-format releases ensure the IP will remain a dominant fixture across platforms for years to come.
