Lego has officially revealed a community-designed X-Files set featuring Mulder's office, an alien abduction scene, and classic characters, launching this August for $199.99.
For a franchise built on government conspiracies and shadowy investigations, the latest piece of merchandise is delightfully transparent. As reported by Polygon, Lego has officially revealed its upcoming X-Files set, bringing Fox Mulder and Dana Scully into the world of brick building this summer. Born out of the community-driven Lego Ideas program after creator Brent Waller secured ten thousand fan votes in early 2025, the 1,478-piece kit packs a serious nostalgia punch for anyone who grew up watching the nineties sci-fi phenomenon.
The set cleverly splits its focus between subterranean reality and paranormal mystery. The main build features Agent Mulder's famously chaotic basement office, complete with that iconic I Want to Believe UFO poster, stacked right underneath a woodland alien-abduction vignette. Lego is rounding out the display with a heavy-hitting lineup of minifigures, including Mulder, Scully, Assistant Director Walter Skinner, the Cigarette Smoking Man (listed as Carl Busch to sidestep tobacco imagery), Mr. X, Alex Krycek, the terrifying Flukeman, and a classic grey alien.
For collectors looking to grab the set, it carries a price tag of $199.99 and launches early for Lego Insiders on August 1 before a wider release on August 4. Lego is also sweetening the deal with a bonus gift-with-purchase build centered on Scully's laboratory for buyers who purchase directly from official channels. It is a massive win for fans who treat the cult classic series as a foundational pillar of pop culture history.
