The LEGO Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set has officially sold out on the official LEGO store, just as Nintendo announces an Ocarina of Time remake for the Switch 2.
For collectors who love bridging the gap between physical display pieces and gaming history, a major era has officially ended. According to a report by Game Rant, the LEGO The Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set has officially sold out on the official LEGO Shop after spending time on the company retiring soon list. The timing could not be more poetic for the community, arriving right as Nintendo reveals the long-rumored Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time remake for the Switch 2. While third-party retailers might still have lingering stock at the original 299 dollar price point, direct supply from LEGO has officially dried up.
Released as the very first official collaboration between LEGO and the Zelda franchise, the 2,500-piece set was an instant hit for fans of the series. It featured a clever 2-in-1 design letting builders construct versions of the iconic tree from both Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild. Complete with four minifigures, the Master Sword, the Hylian Shield, and tiny touches like Navi and the Koroks, it was a love letter to decades of franchise history. For a community that treats physical gaming memorabilia and collector editions as standard parts of the hobby, seeing such a landmark set transition into the aftermarket is always bittersweet.
Moments like this highlight how deeply intertwined physical merchandise has become with modern gaming culture. Sets of this scale appeal directly to adult collectors and streaming creators who love decking out their background setups with nods to their favorite titles. As secondary market prices inevitably start to climb, fans who missed out on the initial run will have to hunt carefully. You can read the original coverage over at Game Rant.
