If your Steam wishlist or console library is missing a healthy dose of absurd British comedy, a new project just entered the chat. IGN South Africa recently debuted the official announcement trailer for The Immortal John Triptych, an upcoming adventure game that wears its Monty Python influences right on its sleeve. The reveal trailer showcases a distinct brand of surreal humor and hand-crafted visual flair that immediately stands out in a crowded indie landscape.
Adventure games have always thrived on clever writing and unique art directions, but leaning into the specific, irreverent comedic style of legendary sketch comedy is a bold swing. For modern players who grew up on classic point-and-click titles alongside contemporary narrative indie hits, this kind of eccentric storytelling offers a welcome change of pace from endless live-service grind loops. It is the sort of single player experience you stream for laughs or digest at your own pace over a weekend.
We are keeping a close eye on how the full release shapes up, especially when it comes to puzzle design and comedic timing. You can check out the first look at the official announcement trailer over at IGN South Africa. As more details drop regarding platforms and release windows, we will see if this comedic trip lives up to its lofty inspirations.
