The Division Is Making the Jump to Tabletop With a Fast-Tracked Kickstarter

Ubisoft and Arkhane Asylum Publishing are bringing The Division to the tabletop with a tactical TTRPG launching on Kickstarter in April 2026, featuring a custom d10 system and fast delivery before the end of the year.

Ubisoft is taking its post-pandemic tactical shooter out of the digital space and onto the gaming table. French publisher Arkhane Asylum Publishing announced a partnership with Ubisoft to bring Tom Clancy's The Division to the tabletop as a dedicated dice-based roleplaying game. According to a report by Corey Plante over at Polygon, the project has been in development for three years and is essentially complete, meaning backers will not have to wait years for fulfillment. A Kickstarter campaign is scheduled to launch on April 28, 2026, with physical rewards expected to arrive before the end of the year.

The tabletop adaptation leans heavily into the franchise's signature mechanics through a brand-new ruleset called the GRIS system, which relies exclusively on ten-sided dice. Players build small pools of d10s based on their skills and traits, choosing a single resolution die rather than adding totals together. Combat mirrors the video game by making cover, elevation, and line of sight crucial to survival. The system also introduces thematic injury mechanics, reducing a player's dice pool as they take damage and forcing wounded agents to roll on trauma tables if they collapse.

Initial releases will include a comprehensive starter set, core rulebooks split into an Agent's Manual and a Coordinator's Manual, custom miniatures, and a game master screen. An introductory adventure titled Ashes of Murray Hill will also be included in the upcoming public quickstart guide. For a franchise built around squad coordination, tactical positioning, and high-stakes survival, transitioning into a tabletop format feels like a natural evolution that should appeal to both veteran agents and TTRPG enthusiasts.
