Cinema and gaming often share overlapping creative spaces, and the latest project catching the attention of sci-fi fans is Arco. IGN South Africa recently debuted the official final trailer for the animated film, which follows a ten-year-old boy from a peaceful distant future who accidentally finds himself stranded in the year 2075. The premise leans into classic time travel tropes with a modern aesthetic, dropping its protagonist into a world facing environmental peril.
As the story unfolds, Arco forms a bond with a young local girl named Iris. Together with her robotic caretaker Mikki, the duo embarks on a quest to send Arco back to his timeline while navigating a collapsing world that desperately needs saving. The project brings together notable creative talent, including breakout filmmaker Ugo Bienvenu and producers from Remembers alongside mountainA partners Natalie Portman and Sophie Mas.
For players and viewers who appreciate striking visual storytelling and rich world building, Arco offers a cinematic escape worth watching. The film is currently playing in theaters, bringing its distinct animated fable to the big screen. You can check out the final trailer and read more details over at IGN South Africa.
