Polygon outlines a massive June 2026 release calendar for the Switch 2, featuring Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, a Star Fox 64 remake, and standout indie titles.
June usually finds the gaming world staring into the crystal ball at digital showcases and convention stages, but Nintendo players have plenty of actual playing to do right now. Polygon's Oli Welsh recently detailed a packed launch calendar for the Switch 2, proving that the hardware's early momentum is translating into a very busy month for cross-platform fans and console loyalists alike. Square Enix is leading the charge on June 2 by bringing Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth to the platform just months after the first chapter landed. It is a massive, sprawling adventure packed with side content that should keep community Discord servers busy for weeks.
The indie and creative scenes are also bringing major highlights to the platform throughout the month. Keita Takahashi, the mastermind behind Katamari Damacy, brings his delightfully surreal fable To a T to the console on June 11, offering players a quirky exploration of difference and flying dogs. Later in the month on June 17, Undercoders delivers Denshattack!, a high-speed post-apocalyptic train game that lets you pull off skateboard style stunts on railway tracks. Square Enix is expanding its signature HD-2D style on June 18 with The Adventures of Elliot, a time traveling action RPG that channels classic franchise energy into a fast paced hack and slash format. 柏 The month closes out with two deeply poignant and anticipated releases. On June 23, players can experience Wanderstop, the thoughtful cozy game about burnout from the late developer Ivy Road, making its belated platform arrival. Finally, June 26 brings the heavy hitter of the month with a lavish Switch 2 remake of Star Fox 64, complete with a fully orchestrated soundtrack that is already turning heads on streaming platforms. You can read the original breakdown over at Polygon to see the full lineup and plan your gaming sessions for the weeks ahead.
