Survival horror game Dead Format from developer Katanalevy has received an official release date trailer, showcasing new atmospheric footage for fans of the genre.
Solo developer Katanalevy has officially dropped the release date trailer for Dead Format, giving the horror community a fresh look at what is shaping up to be a tense new addition to the genre. Survival horror continues to be a massive draw for streaming audiences and late-night party sessions, and this project brings a distinct aesthetic that immediately stands out on a busy content feed.
While the trailer keeps major plot details close to the chest, it leans heavily into atmospheric dread and psychological tension. Independent horror projects often thrive by finding unique ways to mess with player expectations, and Dead Format looks ready to test how well players handle pressure when resources are scarce and safety is entirely off the table.
For those tracking upcoming releases to add to their rotation, this one is worth keeping on the radar as it nears its launch window. You can check out the full release date trailer over at IGN South Africa to see the atmospheric footage for yourself.
