Supreme has revealed a new collaboration with Analogue, bringing 24K gold and glossy red aluminum finishes to the popular retro handheld for the brand's upcoming collection.
Streetwear giant Supreme is bringing its signature aesthetic to the retro gaming scene with a newly announced collaboration featuring the Analogue Pocket. As part of its upcoming fall and winter collection, Supreme revealed two striking variants of the premium handheld, including one finished in its iconic glossy red and another plated entirely in 24K gold. Both versions swap the standard build for a unibody aluminum shell featuring prominent branding, alongside a custom Supreme box logo on the boot screen for players who manage to secure one when the collection drops.
Beneath the fashion world styling, the hardware remains the powerhouse that players and collectors already know. The Analogue Pocket uses FPGA technology to run original Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance cartridges on a stunning 3.5-inch display without relying on traditional software emulation. OpenFPGA support also allows the system to handle community cores for other classic platforms, making it an exceptionally versatile device for retro enthusiasts who still have physical libraries sitting on their shelves.
While Polygon noted in previous coverage that the vertical handheld design can occasionally feel cramped during extended play sessions, the underlying hardware is still one of the absolute best ways to experience cartridge-based gaming today. Pricing has not been announced yet, but given the limited nature of Supreme drops and the standard model baseline of roughly two hundred and forty dollars, expect these luxury variants to command a steep resale tax. For most players, the standard edition offers the exact same technical performance without the hypebeast markup, but the gold finish is certainly one way to flex in the streaming community.
