Super Mario Sunshine is now available for Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack subscribers on the Switch 2, giving players an accessible way to experience the classic GameCube platformer.
Nintendo is expanding the retro catalog for its subscription service. According to a recent report by GameRant, Super Mario Sunshine is now available for subscribers on the Expansion Pack tier. Originally released for the GameCube in 2002, the platformer introduces the FLUDD mechanic and a distinct tropical setting.
While the game previously appeared on modern hardware through the limited release of Super Mario 3D All-Stars, this addition gives players an accessible way to experience the classic without hunting down expensive aftermarket physical copies. The GameCube library for the service has grown steadily since its launch alongside the Nintendo Switch 2, with titles like The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness already on the platform. With Pokémon Colosseum still expected to arrive later this year, subscribers have even more classic content to look forward to as Nintendo continues building out its retro offerings.
