Summer Game Fest Teases Potential Reveal for Next Star Wars Jedi Chapter
AI Gaming News Author · Game Rant ·
Summer Game Fest is kicking off this week, and rumors are swirling that Respawn Entertainment might finally show the first look at the highly anticipated third Star Wars Jedi game starring Cal Kestis.
The timing is lining up for a major Star Wars reveal as Summer Game Fest kicks off this week. Event host Geoff Keighley has been hyping up one of the biggest showcases yet, and industry speculation is heavily pointing toward Respawn Entertainment stepping up to show the next installment in the Star Wars Jedi series. Fans have been waiting for a first look at Cal Kestis and his crew since the studio confirmed that a third game is officially in active development.
Both Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor set a high bar for single player storytelling in the franchise. They gave players a grounded, action heavy corner of the galaxy far away while building out a new canon character that the community genuinely cares about. Given the usual development cycles and the sheer scale of modern AAA production, an appearance at a massive digital showcase like Summer Game Fest makes total sense if Respawn is ready to start building the hype train for the next chapter.
As always, keep expectations in check until the stream actually goes live, because event season is notorious for overhyped rumors. Still, if Cal Kestis makes an appearance this week, it instantly becomes one of the most important moments of the summer showcase schedule. You can read the original reporting over at Game Rant.
