Summer Game Fest 2026 brought major PC announcements, including Alien Isolation 2, genATLAS, Resident Evil Code Veronica, and more.
The official Summer Game Fest 2026 showcase has wrapped up, giving us a massive look at what is heading to PC over the coming months and years. While the two-hour stream followed a familiar rhythm, it delivered some heavy hitters that immediately captured the community's attention. Among the standout announcements, Creative Assembly finally pulled back the curtain on Alien Isolation 2, shifting the survival horror action from a claustrophobic spaceship to a sprawling colony setting for the first time in twelve years. Survival horror fans also got a major surprise with the reveal of Resident Evil Code Veronica, which adapts the classic Dreamcast title into a modern first-person format.
Scale and ambition were major themes throughout the broadcast. Fumito Ueda returned with a new title and trailer for genATLAS, showcasing the breathtaking contrast of a tiny human navigating a vast sci-fi landscape alongside a colossal machine. In a win for the multiplatform crowd, the game is heading straight to PC, breaking away from the developer's historical PlayStation exclusivity. Meanwhile, NetEase turned heads with cinematic glimpses of Blood Message, an epic singleplayer action game following a soldier traversing the Tang dynasty, and Platinum Games generated massive hype with the announcement of a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles project.
Beyond brand-new reveals, the showcase highlighted major milestones for ongoing titles and unexpected crossovers. Jagex confirmed that RuneScape Dragonwilds is finally graduating from Steam early access with its official 1.0 launch arriving on September 15, bringing a brand new region called the Scorned Wilderness. RGG Studios also stunned audiences by showing off their latest cross-era Japanese epic, which bizarrely features appearances from historical figures and hip-hop legends alike.
