Steam's latest Free Weekend lets players try Squad and Gas Station Simulator completely free until September 28, alongside temporary purchase discounts.
Valve has rolled out another installment of its Free Weekend promotion on Steam, giving players full access to two very different titles through September 28. As reported by Game Rant, this weekend lineup splits cleanly into a large-scale tactical multiplayer experience and a casual single-player management game, offering something for both social squads and solo players.
The tactical military shooter Squad takes up the multiplayer slot, dropping players into massive 50v50 battles where communication, role specialization, and proximity voice chat dictate success. For those looking for a completely different pace, Gas Station Simulator offers a looping management experience where players clean up, expand, and run a remote desert roadside business, with a completion time that makes it entirely doable before the trial period wraps up.
While these timed trials eventually revert, Steam accompanies the promotion with temporary purchase discounts for anyone wanting to keep the games in their library permanently. Squad sits at half price until October 1, while Gas Station Simulator is discounted by 55 percent through the end of the event on September 28, making it a low-risk window to try before you buy.
