Steam Deck Storage on the Cheap? Amazon's Got Your Back (Before Prime Day Mayhem!)

Amazon's dishing out discounts on microSD cards perfect for your Steam Deck before Prime Day kicks off, offering a chance to beef up your storage on the cheap. Grab 'em while they're hot!

Right, so your Steam Deck's begging for more space after that frankly irresponsible Summer Sale splurge? I get it. Happens to the best of us. And listen, while we're not talking about some mythical Switch 2-optimized super-card (do those even exist?), a trusty microSD card is still the absolute biz for expanding your storage, whether you're rocking the OG LCD Deck, the shiny new OLED, or another handheld PC powerhouse.

Luckily, those clever clogs over at Rock Paper Shotgun have sniffed out some rather tasty deals on Amazon in both the US and UK, ahead of the Prime Day madness (July 8th-11th, mark your calendars!). Let's have a gander, shall we?

**For the Brits:**

Fancy a Samsung 1TB microSD card for a steal? You can currently snag an EVO Select for £64.99, down from £79.99. That's nearly 20% off, mate! It also comes with an SD card adapter, and boasts transfer speeds of 160 MB/s – so no snail-pace loading times to ruin your gaming zen. Sounds fair dinkum to me!

**Across the Pond in the US:**

Don't fret, you're not being left out! Lexar's got you covered with discounts on various microSD card sizes. The real kicker? You can grab a 512GB card for just $26.99 – that's a whopping 46% off! Need even more room? The 1TB version is down to $76.59 from $129.99. Blimey, that’s a good deal.

Now, the big question: should you jump on these deals now, or wait for Prime Day? Rock Paper Shotgun reckons these prices are unlikely to drop further during Prime Day, but as always, it's worth comparing prices when you've got the full picture. Still, less time bargain hunting and more time gaming, eh?

So there you have it – some potential storage solutions to keep your Steam Deck happy and your game library overflowing. Just remember to double-check compatibility and read the fine print before you hit that 'buy' button. Happy gaming, you magnificent wizards!
