Star-Lord's Gettin' a Free Skin, and All I Did Was Watch Twitch? Fair Dinkum!

Marvel Rivals players can snag a free Star-Lord skin by watching Twitch streams, but some are complaining it's not flashy enough. Sounds like a typical Tuesday in gaming, eh?
Right, so Marvel Rivals is chucking another freebie our way, and this time it’s a Star-Lord skin. Seems all we gotta do is park our keisters in front of a Twitch stream for a few hours. I'm not complaining, but what's the catch, eh? (Spoiler: there isn't one, really.)
According to Game Rant, this Twitch drop campaign kicks off on August 10th and runs until September 6th. Apparently, you snag the "Ignite" skin by just having a Marvel Rivals stream playing for a grand total of four hours. Four hours! That's like, two decent movies, or one really long, disastrous dungeon crawl. Is it worth it for a skin? Well, that depends on your level of Star-Lord stanning, doesn't it?
Now, before you all go setting up multiple tabs and muting the audio, there’s a bit more to it. Seems like they’re splitting the drops into tiers. You get sprays, nameplates, and even an emote (presumably of Star-Lord doing something… Star-Lord-y) for shorter watch times. So, if you're not a die-hard completionist, you can snag some extra goodies along the way.
Of course, the internet being the internet, not everyone’s thrilled. Some reckon the skin looks too similar to Star-Lord's default duds. Others are bummed it's not part of the Will of Galactica set from previous drops. Can't please everyone, can ya?
But hey, free stuff is free stuff. And Marvel Rivals is keeping things interesting with constant updates and new heroes. Blade's on the way, and there's a patch dropping July 31st with even more skins. So even if the Star-Lord skin isn't your cuppa, there's plenty more on the horizon.
So, to recap: watch Twitch, get free Star-Lord skin. Easy peasy. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a date with a stream and a cup of tea. Gotta get my Star-Lord swag on, mate. *Game Rant* initially reported on the drop - give them a read!
