Square Enix announced a new Final Fantasy 9 Not Alone music box collectible, priced at around $28.99 and slated for release in October 2026.
Square Enix has officially opened pre-orders for a new Final Fantasy 9 collectible, bringing a piece of the beloved RPG straight to fan shelves. Titled Not Alone, the physical merchandise release is a compact music box designed around the iconic soundtrack. The tiny frame measures 5.99 by 5.30 by 3.98 centimeters and features silhouette designs of Zidane alongside his companions including Garnet, Vivi, and Steiner.
Priced at £24.99 or roughly $28.99, the collectible is scheduled to ship as early as October 2026. When wound up, the music box plays the memorable Not Alone track from the original PlayStation classic. This release follows a broader trend from Square Enix focusing on physical sound carriers and memorabilia, such as upcoming vinyl sets, celebrating the legendary musical scores that define the franchise.
While fans continue to debate whether the 2000 masterpiece will ever receive the full multi-part remake treatment given to Final Fantasy 7, official physical releases like this keep the community engaged. Music has always formed the emotional backbone of the series, making tangible soundtrack tributes a popular option for collectors looking to deck out their gaming setups.
