Nightdive Studios has revived the long-dormant SiN Reloaded remaster, releasing a new gameplay trailer and a surprise Steam demo ahead of its 2026 launch across multiple platforms.
Nightdive Studios is finally breathing life back into one of PC gaming's most notorious cult classics. Originally announced back in 2020 before going dark indefinitely in 2023, the remaster of 1998 shooter SiN is officially back on track. Fran Ruiz reported on Eurogamer that Nightdive just dropped a fresh gameplay trailer alongside a playable Steam demo, giving players a direct taste of the modernized action ahead of a planned 2026 launch across PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo systems.
Built on Nightdive's proprietary KEX Engine, SiN Reloaded bundles the original campaign and its Wages of SiN expansion, pushing support up to 4K resolution at 144 FPS. The team is including high-definition textures, reworked character models, updated user interfaces, and modern control schemes. Players who prefer the authentic late nineties aesthetic can easily toggle back to the original visuals at any time. Certain maps have also received quality of life reworks, and full achievement support is finally making the cut for modern platforms.
While first-person shooter fans often remember the era for heavy hitters like Half-Life and Unreal, Ritual Entertainment's original title carved out a dedicated following through its blend of gritty dystopian worldbuilding and surprisingly campy action. Nightdive previously noted that finishing this remaster was a lingering studio obligation, and it is great to see the project finally escape development purgatory. You can download the demo on Steam right now to see how Colonel John R. Blade's trip through Freeport holds up today.
