Silent Hill 2 Remake Developer Bloober Team Expands Leadership and Teases Seven Games in Development

Bloober Team is expanding its leadership and scaling up its operations, with seven games currently in development following the success of the Silent Hill 2 remake.

Bloober Team is cementing its status as a powerhouse in modern horror. Following the major success of the Silent Hill 2 remake and Cronos: The New Dawn, the studio is restructuring its leadership team to support a massive multi-project pipeline. As reported by GamesIndustry.biz via Eurogamer, the developer currently has seven games in the works, split between first-party single-player horror titles and external collaborations.

To manage this ambitious slate without overextending, Bloober Team has brought in heavy-hitting industry talent. Thaine Lyman, formerly of Activision and Wargaming, joins as head of studio. He is accompanied by new business development director Katya Baukova from Techland and CD Projekt, alongside head of publishing Micha Gembicki from Klabater SA and CD Projekt. CEO Piotr Babieno noted that the studio is purposely avoiding growth for the sake of numbers, opting instead for a sustainable structure where two first-party teams focus on major releases while five additional projects are co-developed through external partnerships like Broken Mirror Games.

For players, this shift means a steady stream of atmospheric horror without the rushed development cycles that often plague modern AAA studios. With a rumored Nintendo-exclusive project on the horizon alongside ongoing work with Konami, Bloober Team is positioning itself to be a dominant force across console and PC ecosystems for years to come.
