A new behind-the-scenes video for Scream 7 explores Sidney Prescott's 30-year evolution, highlighting her new role as a mother facing a fresh Ghostface threat.
The marketing rollout for Scream 7 is ramping up, and a new behind-the-scenes video offers a comprehensive look at how Sidney Prescott has evolved over the past thirty years. Released via IGN South Africa, the featurette pairs star Neve Campbell with co-writer and director Kevin Williamson to chart the character's journey from a targeted teenager to a protective mother. Franchise veterans and newcomers alike will get a glimpse of the new dynamic heading to the big screen, especially since Sidney now has to shield her daughter from a fresh wave of Ghostface attacks.
The upcoming sequel leans heavily into legacy and family stakes, positioning Sidney's new life as the primary battleground against the killer. Alongside Campbell and returning staples like Courteney Cox and David Arquette, the sprawling cast features Isabel May as Sidney's daughter, alongside Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, and Matthew Lillard. With Williamson back in the director's chair and handling script duties alongside Guy Busick, the production is clearly aiming to balance nostalgic fan service with high-stakes tension for modern audiences.
Horror fans looking to unpack every frame of the promotional material can view the full featurette directly through IGN South Africa. As cinemas prepare for the release on February 27, 2026, this featurette sets the emotional baseline for what looks to be a deeply personal chapter in the slasher franchise. Whether you are following the film's press tour on social feeds or waiting for opening night, the countdown to Ghostface's return is officially on.
