Satisfactory version 1.2 is now in beta testing on the experimental branch, bringing a true pause feature, revamped weather systems, improved vehicle pathing, and a new selfie mode for builders.

Coffee Stain Studios has pushed Satisfactory version 1.2 to the experimental branch, and it introduces a feature players have requested for years. You can now properly pause the game. Previously, opening the menu left your engineer vulnerable to wandering wildlife, but this update freezes the world entirely so you can take a breather without finding a safe spot first.
The update brings a lot more than just peace of mind. Weather systems are getting a major overhaul, featuring improved rain visuals that make your suit and buildings actually look wet, alongside dynamic wind, thunder, and occlusion effects that change audio and visuals when you are indoors or under foundations. Controller users also get some love through dynamic input swapping for mixed keyboard and mouse setups, plus full button rebinding. Vehicle pathing has been completely reworked, letting you place dedicated paths directly from the build menu to streamline your transport logistics.
