Saber Interactive has added an AI content disclosure to the Steam page for Rideshare Stimulator following a public dispute between the studio CEO and a former writer. The disclaimer clarifies that artificial intelligence is limited to an optional side mode rather than the main campaign.
Saber Interactive has quietly updated the Steam page for Rideshare Stimulator to include a formal AI-generated content disclosure. The update arrives in the wake of a public clash between studio CEO Matthew Karch and former writer Stella Sacco. The dispute erupted after Karch stated in an interview that he would have been happy to replace human writers with artificial intelligence, though Karch has since issued a private apology that Sacco has publicly accepted.
According to the newly added Steam disclosure, the core campaign of Rideshare Stimulator remains entirely human-written. AI tools are instead confined to an optional Free Ride mode, which features procedurally generated passenger missions and synthetic localizations alongside a mix of human and AI-generated radio stations. The disclaimer clarifies that players can bypass the experimental mode entirely if they prefer a strictly human-crafted narrative experience.
While the inclusion of the disclosure brings the title in line with platform requirements for games utilizing synthetic assets, the conversation around development transparency continues to evolve across the industry. As studios experiment with generative tools in side content and audio design, clear player communication remains essential for maintaining trust within digital communities.
