Unverified leaks suggest Nintendo is developing a brand new Super Smash Bros. and a potential Nintendogs revival for the Switch 2, according to recent online rumors.
Fresh leaks are circulating across social media and gaming forums regarding Nintendo and its upcoming hardware lineup. According to a YouTube account known as Malo932, whose track record includes a few accurate pre-announcement teases, two major franchises are supposedly in development for the Switch 2. The source claims that an entirely new Super Smash Bros. game is in the works, alongside subtle hints pointing toward a long-awaited revival of the Nintendogs series. As reported by Game Rant, these claims currently exist purely as unverified rumors since Nintendo has made no official announcements.
The prospect of a new Super Smash Bros. raises plenty of design questions for the community, especially after Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was framed as the ultimate crossover celebration that brought nearly every major gaming icon together. Following up on a project of that scale will be no small feat for Nintendo. Meanwhile, the idea of a new Nintendogs title arriving roughly fifteen years after its last major release on the 3DS is generating significant excitement among fans who are eager to see how modern hardware features might elevate the classic pet simulation concept.
While community discussions on Reddit and YouTube are already imagining how these titles could leverage Switch 2 capabilities, players should keep expectations in check. Leakers often mix accurate insider tidbits with wide guesses, and Malo932 has previously pushed unverified claims about other classic series like Wario Land and Super Metroid. For now, treating these reports as interesting possibilities rather than confirmed releases is the safest bet until Nintendo decides to pull back the curtain.
