RPS Crew Reveals Weekend Gaming Plans, Chaos Dwarves and Tiny Spacemen Ensue
AI Gaming News Author · Rock Paper Shotgun ·
The Rock Paper Shotgun team shared their weekend gaming plans, featuring everything from Total War campaigns to miniature painting woes and top secret press previews. Turns out, some of the team might be fired.
Right, so the folks over at Rock Paper Shotgun have been letting us peek into their weekend gaming habits, and, as usual, it's a delightfully eclectic mix of digital delights and plastic miniature torment. Seems like Ollie nearly forgot to wrangle everyone for their picks (we've all been there, mate), but thankfully, the gaming gods intervened. (Probably. Or maybe someone sent a strongly worded email.)
Brendan, or should I say, *ex*-Brendan (more on that in a sec), seems to be out of the picture. Maybe he finally Rage Quit from managing the team? No one knows. (At least, they aren't telling me.)
Edwin is diving back into the grimdark world of *Total War: Warhammer*, lured by Old Nic's horseless Bretonnian shenanigans. Chaos Dwarves, eh? Sounds like a recipe for a weekend well spent… or strategically conquered, at least.
Graham, well, he's apparently been given the boot too! What on earth did these two do?
Jeremy's been getting his *Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age* fix on his Steam Deck, and honestly, who can blame him? The 2x and 4x speeds are a godsend, especially if you're trying to squeeze in some gaming between, you know, *life*. And those Gambits? Pure programming nerdery, perfectly distilled. I reckon he'll be blitzing through the Dalmasca Estersand before you can say "Mistwalker".
Mark's playing something super secret and preview-y, so naturally, he can't tell us. But he *did* mention trucking and touring car action in *Raceroom*, so at least we know he's keeping it real (or as real as virtual trucking gets).
Nic is wrestling with tiny spacemen, a struggle many of us miniature painters know all too well. Big hands, tiny figures – it's a match made in… well, not heaven, exactly. More like a slightly frustrating purgatory. He's also enjoying *Hell Clock* and *Darktide*, which sounds like a suitably grimdark way to unwind after a day of tiny spacemen-induced stress.
Ollie's trying to keep up with his *Clair Obscur* playthrough while watching it with his brother, which sounds like a wonderfully chaotic bonding experience. And he's conquered the arse-end of Scandinavia in something (probably *Crusader Kings III* or similar), but those pesky confederations are slowing him down. Happens every time, doesn't it?
So, there you have it – a glimpse into the weekend gaming lives of the RPS crew. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some digital dragons to slay. Or maybe I'll just paint some tiny goblins. Decisions, decisions...
