Rockstar Games has confirmed that Disney World and Orlando will not appear in Grand Theft Auto 6, though the map of Leonida will still feature plenty of other Florida-inspired locations and activities.
As the industry counts down to the November launch, Rockstar Games has officially clarified that a satirical take on Disney World will not be part of the upcoming map. In a recent interview with Game Informer, the studio confirmed that Orlando and its famous theme parks did not make the cut for the final version of the game. While the sprawling state of Leonida will feature plenty of recognizable Florida locations beyond Vice City, players should not expect a direct parody of the House of Mouse.
Even without a massive virtual theme park, Rockstar is filling the map with plenty of regional flavor and side activities. Players can still look forward to exploring the Leonida Keys, navigating the Grassrivers, and diving into activities like hunting, scuba diving, and fishing. The studio has also highlighted an advanced weather system designed to simulate Florida's intense tropical storms and hurricanes, alongside a diverse ecosystem of native wildlife.
Historically, the franchise has always found clever ways to spoof real world entertainment hubs without needing direct adaptations. Past titles featured amusement locations like Del Perro Pier in GTA 5 and Funland in GTA 4. With social media integration, dynamic weather, and densely populated urban and rural areas, Leonida is shaping up to offer a full sandbox experience when it arrives later this fall, as originally detailed by Game Rant.
Grand Theft Auto 6 remains one of the most anticipated releases in gaming history, carrying massive expectations across console, PC, and streaming communities. Rockstar continues to manage the final stretch of hype ahead of the November 19 launch date. For players who have tracked every trailer and leak, the absence of a virtual Disney World is a minor omission in a world designed to capture the chaotic spirit of the Sunshine State.
