Rockstar Games has added the Story Mode of Grand Theft Auto 5 to the GTA Plus subscription library, allowing members to access the best-selling title at no additional monthly cost.
Rockstar Games is expanding the value proposition of its subscription service by adding the story campaign of Grand Theft Auto 5 to the GTA Plus games library. Announced on June 11, the latest update allows active subscribers to access the monumental open world title at no extra cost alongside the service's existing benefits. Normally retailing between thirty and forty dollars depending on the platform, the inclusion of the base game makes the monthly subscription a much more compelling package for players who want both online perks and single player experiences.
Launched originally as a monthly membership for Grand Theft Auto Online, GTA Plus has gradually evolved into a broader ecosystem pass. Subscribers paying the monthly fee already receive regular injections of in-game currency, exclusive vehicles, discounts, and property perks. Over time, Rockstar has expanded the offering to include a rotating vault of classic titles like Red Dead Redemption, Bully, and L.A. Noire. Bringing the studio's best selling juggernaut directly into that rotating library marks a significant shift in how players can access the modern classic across supported platforms.
Alongside the story mode addition, the June update brings new gear to the game, including the amphibious Ocelot Stromberg vehicle available for free claims at the Vinewood Car Club through July 13. Rockstar also confirmed that PC players on the enhanced version can now access GTA Online directly through the games library, with full support for transferring story saves and online progression. As subscription models continue to shape how we access and manage our gaming libraries, this move gives both returning fans and newcomers another entry point into one of entertainment history's most enduring worlds, as reported by Game Rant.
