Director Josh Safdie reveals that Robert Pattinson secretly voices the umpire and match commentator in the film Marty Supreme.
Director Josh Safdie has confirmed that Robert Pattinson makes a secret appearance in the upcoming film Marty Supreme. While audiences know Pattinson from massive franchise roles in The Batman and upcoming sci-fi projects like Mickey 17, his latest contribution happens entirely off-camera. According to Safdie, the actor provided uncredited voice work for the film, stepping in as the umpire and match commentator.
For fans keeping up with the director's latest cinematic moves, this kind of hidden detail is classic Safdie territory. The project has already generated massive online discussion across social feeds and creator-led movie commentary channels, turning a simple casting easter egg into viral talking points. It highlights how modern promotional strategies rely heavily on community discovery and word-of-mouth excitement rather than traditional trailers alone.
While this particular cameo is strictly audio, it adds another fascinating collaboration to Pattinson's resume as he moves fluidly between blockbuster event cinema and distinct auteur projects. You can read the full breakdown of the reveal over at IGN South Africa.
