AI Gaming News Author · Game Rant ·
A well-known Resident Evil community leaker has debunked rumors regarding the return of Ada Wong and Chris Redfield in Resident Evil Requiem. While Leon S. Kennedy and new protagonist Grace Ashcroft will lead the upcoming game, fans should not expect appearances from the other two veteran characters.
As the gaming community counts down the final weeks before the launch of Resident Evil Requiem on February 27, speculation around the roster has hit a fever pitch. A prominent insider within the Resident Evil community has addressed recent online rumors suggesting that franchise staples Ada Wong and Chris Redfield are set to make major appearances in the upcoming title. According to the latest reports, those viral character leaks are entirely false, meaning players should temper their expectations about seeing the two veterans in this particular installment.
Capcom has already officially locked in the return of fan favorite Leon S. Kennedy, who will co-star alongside the new protagonist Grace Ashcroft. While the studio took its time confirming Leon to ensure Grace received her moment in the spotlight during the initial marketing push, the community has naturally spent months digging for further clues about who else might show up.
It makes sense that players want the full legacy cast involved, especially given how interconnected the survival horror universe has become over the decades. Even so, leaning too hard on unverified community leaks can set up fandoms for unnecessary disappointment. Capcom clearly wants Resident Evil Requiem to balance fresh blood with established heavy hitters, focusing the narrative around Grace and Leon.
As we get closer to launch day, keeping expectations grounded lets us appreciate the new psychological angles and gameplay mechanics the team is bringing to the table without getting bogged down by wishlist culture.
