Reikon Games dropped a new gameplay trailer for Ruiner 2, revealing three-player co-op, a body-swapping shell system, and deeper action RPG mechanics for PC.
Reikon Games has officially pulled back the curtain on Ruiner 2 with a brand new gameplay trailer via IGN South Africa, giving players a first look at the cyberpunk action RPG. Set in the gritty world of Rengkok, the sequel retains the fast-paced, high-intensity combat of the original while expanding the scope significantly. This time around, the developers are leaning heavily into social play, introducing online co-op for up to three players so friends can coordinate their carnage across the neon-lit underworld.
A standout feature in the new footage is the shell system, which allows players to swap bodies on the fly, manage a diverse roster, and build out active skill trees. This mechanic introduces a new layer of tactical depth to the moment-to-moment action, letting you mix and match loadouts and abilities to exploit enemy weaknesses. Beyond the combat encounters, the trailer highlights deeper exploration elements, including sprawling dungeons and hostile wastelands that push the universe well beyond the linear confines of the first game.
Keep in mind that the footage is strictly pre-alpha, meaning the mechanics and visuals are still evolving as development continues. Even so, the transition from a purely solo top-down shooter to a systems-driven co-op experience shows genuine ambition from the studio. You can check out the official Steam page to wishlist the game and keep track of updates as development progresses, and you can view the original reveal over at IGN South Africa.
